Megan Koons is a mixed media artist whose work is created through a meditation on space, experience, memory and time.  The process of making each piece involves quick, chance actions as well as slow, repetitive movements, attempting to access a subconscious way of connecting lines and patterns to form images that seem familiar and innate.  She enjoys the freedom of floating between the genres of art, craft, and design which generates a desire for playfulness and discovery in the studio. 

Megan was born and raised in northeast Ohio, received a BFA from the The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009 and currently lives and works in the Cleveland area.
